TRAINING SHOULD BE FUN! START YOUR JOURNEY TODAY!
Hi! My name is Ryan Lee. I'm a certified, professional dog trainer and owner of A Beautiful Life Dog Training. I started my career as a volunteer with the San Francisco SPCA, which evolved into a full-time position within their animal care team. From there, I advanced to a staff position at one San Francisco's premier training facilities, where I initially served as a group class instructor before progressing to manage their Adolescent Academy and providing private training sessions. In addition to operating my training business, I serve as a Canine Behavior Specialist with the Humane Society of Sonoma County where I also conduct group classes for the Academy of Dog.
Areas of specialization:
My mission is to help create healthy relationships between dogs and their families, built on trust and clear communication. My approach focuses not just on what the dog is doing, but why they are doing it, which helps uncover the root causes of their behavior. By learning to interpret your dog’s world, we lay a solid foundation for effective training. I also emphasize managing your dog’s environment to improve your dog's quality of life, and reduce stress and problematic behaviors. My goal is to identify what motivates your dog and use that to guide positive behavior change and help you develop a deeper bond. Together we can create a customized training program to meet you and your dog's specific needs.
I've had the privilege of learning from leading professionals in the animal welfare and positive reinforcement community. I’m currently enrolled in a certification program focusing on on canine ethology. My approach prioritizes continuous learning to stay at the forefront
of the latest methods and techniques in the field.

TESTIMONIALS
"Ryan is an absolutely amazing trainer. We’ve been working with him for two years to help with our pup. He’s helped us navigate some reactivity and teach us so many foundational concepts for working with our pup at home. We’ve also done board and train for multiple weeks which was absolutely amazing. Ryan is super communicative, professional, and loving of all the pups he works with! "

"Ryan is absolutely AMAZING! So wonderful to work with and incredibly knowledgeable, patient and gifted with animals. We didn't know anything about doggy behavior and desperately needed help getting our new dog to stop nipping at our children and learn better behavior all around. He made everything so accessible for us and easy for my children to understand. They are 4 and 8 so this is no easy task! We were able to immediately put new habits, routines, and rules in place to make everything so much better. The girls have a great relationship with our dog now, as do my husband and I. He is happy and adjusted to our our family and we all understand each other so much better. We have great bonding games to play, he helped us to identify the right dog food, ways to meet his needs and know what they are, and so much more. Thank you Ryan!"

"If I could give A Beautiful Life Dog Training 10 stars I would. My life with my reactive dog was very closed off and strained. Ryan has worked as much with me as he has with my dog helping us grow together and build a confident, loving, joyful and beautiful life together! "

"My dog Jojo just turned 1 year old and is very fearful. For 8 months we've barely been able to walk 20 to 30 feet from the front door. Ryan came out and worked with us and Jojo is doing so much better. Getter less fearful and can now walk out much father with confidence. She is beginning to explore areas she's never been able to get to prior to Ryan's help. Ryan is patient and gentle with Jojo and he understands her. She loves him.
She is also getting much better with her reaction to other dogs and humans thanks to Ryan's training. Today we went to the park and there were many dogs walking around us. Jojo used to react by barking and lunging at the end of the leash. Today she laid on the grass relaxing while watching dogs and people walk all around. It was wonderful to her happy and confident.
Another amazing transformation by Ryan is that Jojo can relax. She was named Jojo Gator Jaws because as a puppy her energy has always been frenetic, swinging around with her mouth open and her puppy teeth colliding with anything within range. I work from home and this created much frustration when I tried to work. Ryan has taught Jojo to relax. Instead of being awake and crazy all day long, she now naps in the morning and in the afternoon under my desk. I think it's her "create" away from her crate. Her anxiety and mine has come way down to actually relaxed.
Jojo still has a way to go but with Ryan's help I believe Jojo will become a much more confident and happy dog.
I can't recommend Ryan highly enough. Jojo and I are now enjoying each other and our time outside thanks to Ryan."
